On 12 July 2011, Morocco’s National Office of Railways and Spanish rail infrastructure manager ADIF (responsible for managing 2,776 km of high speed lines and 11,748 km of conventional rail lines), met in Rabat as part of efforts to boost cooperation in accordance with the agreement they signed in 2007.
The two parties, eager to give new impetus to this collaboration, signed an assistance agreement supporting priority projects to optimise the use of space in Moroccan railway stations, deemed as essential in developing services for ONCF’s customer base.
Encouraged by its satisfactory results, ONCF and ADIF have agreed to implement a strategic alliance, aiming to jointly export the know-how and the expertise of both networks.
