On 25 April 2012 the Minister for Transport, Construction and Regional Development appointed Mr Štefan Hlinka as Director General of ŽSR.

Mr Hlinka possesses extensive professional experience in the field of high-level management, as he has already served as Director General of ŽSR in the crucial period of 2008-2010 after holding the post of Deputy Director General for Economy at ŽSR for almost six years, starting in December 2002. Beforehand Mr Hlinka had gained experience as a financial director in several companies.

UIC Director General Jean-Pierre Loubinoux and the UIC Board of Directors wish to congratulate Mr Štefan Hlinka on his recent appointment.
