Following the success of the 20th edition of CINERAIL, the international railway film festival (“Train on Film”), held from 5 – 8 November 2013 in Paris (in partnership with UIC, Russian Railways RZD, RATP and UITP, Trains Expo SNCF (subsidiary of SNCF) and SNCF’s Gares & Connexions division, the Ile de France region, EICAR (International Film and Television School of Paris), and Promométro, the 21st edition of CINERAIL will take place for the first time outside Europe, on the African continent, from 18 – 20 October 2015 in Marrakech, Morocco.

CINERAIL 2015 will be organised with a number of partners including UIC, ONCF, UITP, Trains Expo SNCF, EICAR, and several other players from the railway sector are about to join.

This will be the first CINERAIL in Morocco for the world’s only such event of its kind, which over the past 20 years has illustrated the close bond between trains, stations, the world of rail transport and film-making.

CINERAIL, the international railway film festival, offers a full and varied programme of films and audiovisual works, short and feature-length films, documentaries, films commissioned by companies (advertising films, corporate communications, internal communications, raising awareness on issues of safety, security, staff training programmes, etc.).

This year’s edition of CINERAIL will start on Sunday 18 October in Marrakech, with screenings on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October, prior to the opening of Next Station 2015, the 5th International Conference on Railway Stations, to be held from 21 – 23 October 2015.

The prizes, awarded by an international panel of judges, will be presented on the evening of Tuesday 20 October, during a reception at the Palmeraie Resort in Marrakech.
